Candy vending machines are very popular automatic
merchandisers.
They sell candy like Skittles, Snickers, and
M&Ms. Often they also sell popcorn and potato chips. Candy
vending machines come in all sizes, from small to large. A
small machine might offer six choices and a giant kiosk
might have hundreds of selections. Large kiosk vending
machines can be designed to look like sail boats, buses,
cable cars, and other novelty shapes. Beaver Vending sells
Black Dog Woodwork designs such as Wazoo Toys and Candy
Cable Car kiosks vending machines.
Most candy machines, however, are relatively small and offer
32 to 40 different selections. You can double up the more
popular items, devoting two or more slots for one product if
you wish.
Almost all candy vending machines have a glass front so that
consumers can see exactly which candy they are getting. This
is not true for most soda machines because people already
know what a standard 12-ounce can of soda looks like.
If you want to buy a candy vending machine, make sure you
have some good locations in mind. You’ll want to set the
vending machine at an eye level that is right for the
location. If you place it in or near a toy store, for
example, set the machine at the eye level of the average
child. If you place your candy machine in a train station,
go for a near-adult eye level. Never set the eye level
higher than five or six feet, however, because children will
always be your main customers.
